Pep Guardiola has said he will likely be sacked by Bayern Munich if he doesn’t lead the club to another successful season.
Bayern won the domestic double last year, Guardiola’s first in Germany, but they were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by eventual winners Real Madrid.
Marca reports the former Barcelona Coach as reflecting on the defeat against Los Blancos and insisting he isn’t secure in his post if results dry up.
“It was a shame we lost that way against Real Madrid. Not the fact we lost, but it was an opportunity lost,” he lamented.
“We won the Bundesliga with a score that has never before been achieved and we won the Cup in an amazing season.
“I come to do my best job possible, as I did in Barcelona. I came to a different country from where I was born and raised, where we feel football in a completely different way.
“I adapt and I try to that suits my ideas but it’s a process, not something that is achieved in a year.
“There are no secrets. If I don’t win, probably next year another Coach will come.”
