Toni Kroos could be presented as a Real Madrid player on Thursday, reports in Spain and Germany suggest.
Bild and Marca both lead with the news this morning that an agreement between the player, Bayern Munich and Los Blancos is in place.
The European champions are likely to pay the Bavarian outfit around €30m for the 25-year-old, with a deal to be confirmed later this week.
Kroos had wanted to stay at the Allianz Arena, but after being denied the chance to earn as much as Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger, has opted to leave.
Madrid though, are happy to pay the playmaker the €12m he was after at Bayern.
The player’s agent insisted on Monday that no decision had been made yet, but both papers claim that a switch to Santiago Bernabeu is just formalities away.
