Atletico Madrid youngster Javier Manquillo is close to completing a loan move to Arsenal, reports in Spain have claimed.
The right-back was close to a move to Marseille, AS says, but Arsene Wenger stepped in to offer the 20-year-old the chance to move to the Premier League.
Arsenal are to sign Newcastle’s right-back Mathieu Debuchy but Manquillo would be cover and competition for the France international.
Bacary Sagna has left the Gunners for Manchester City, while Carl Jenkinson could be sent out on loan.
