Atletico Madrid aren’t willing to give up on the signing of Juan Iturbe despite rumours Juventus are close to confirming the midfielder.
Iturbe impressed on loan from Porto at Verona last season and the Italians completed a permanent move for the 21-year-old at the end of the campaign, paying €15m.
But Verona intend to sell on Iturbe at a big profit, with bidding now said to have reached €27m, although Verona are holding out for €30m.
Juventus first offered €20m and Fabio Quagliarella, AS claim, but Atletico are still in the running and haven’t given up on beating the Serie A champions to the deal.
