Villarreal have allowed Hernan Perez to join Olympiakos and are now looking for a replacement before the transfer window closes.
Marca reports that Perez’s contract was due to expire in 2015 and the fee of €2m, reported by the Greek Press, was Villarreal’s last chance to get a fee for the midfielder.
Marcelino had said he would only make a signing before the winter transfer deadline if a player left first and now Perez is bound for Athens, with a medical still to be completed, Villarreal are considering their next move.
The Coach wants an attacking midfielder to replace Perez and ease the burden on Cani, but had an offer for Valencia’s Sergio Canales rejected.
