Juan Antonio Pizzi has admitted that Valencia’s offer to become their new Coach was too good to turn down.
The Argentina tactician was named as Los Che’s new boss earlier today, and speaking to reporters in South America, the 45-year-old has conceded that the Mestalla outfit were too good a club to reject.
“The leaders [at former club San Lorenzo] wanted me to stay,” he told Ole. “But this was the best thing for me.
“After everything we achieved at San Lorenzo, to work at a club like Valencia was just too good an opportunity.
“I am happy and proud to have led one of the biggest clubs in Argentina. San Lorenzo have been a big part of my life.
“But now I have to carry on in Spain.”
