Josuha Guilavogui’s former club have commented that they see the midfielder ‘suffering’ at Atletico Madrid, and would welcome him back on loan.
The Frenchman signed at the Vicente Calderon from Saint-Etienne in the summer for a fee believed to be around the €10m mark.
Whilst reported in recent weeks as ready to break into more regular first-team rotation, the 23-year-old has ended the calendar year with only one minute of League action played for Atleti, back in October against Celta Vigo.
It is a situation that has his former club’s President being asked by the media of a possible loan deal to take him back this January.
“The problem is that Josuha went to a great club with great players and has not had minutes,” Roland Romeyer has responded to But this week.
“I know that he is suffering there and we would be happy to loan him back.
“We are close to December 25 and I do not believe greatly in Santa Claus… I would be very happy if he ended up returning, but I do not believe it will happen.”
