Cagliari have officially confirmed the signing of former Real Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Adan.
The 26-year-old was a free agent after being released from his contract with Los Blancos during the summer, but had struggled to get himself fixed up due to his alleged contract demands.
“My first thoughts are for the victims of the enormous catastrophe that has struck Sardinia, for all the families and people affected by this disaster,” he told the official Cagliari website after flash floods killed at least 18.
“Hopefully everything will get back to normal as soon as possible. I want to thank the President and the club for this great opportunity they have given me.”
Adan will wear the number 26 jersey and was drafted in following an injury to Michael Agazzi.
