Sport Bild believe that Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is Borussia Dortmund’s first choice to replace Robert Lewandowski next summer.
The Bundesliga outfit are set to lose Lewandowski in the summer at the end of his contract, with Bayern Munich expected to be his destination.
Sport Bild have it that with the Polish international having already made clear that he is leaving, Dortmund have begun consideration for his replacement and are looking at Atletico’s in-form Diego Costa.
It is believed that Jurgen Klopp has requested the 25-year-old be brought in next summer, having identified the striker’s style of play as ‘ideal’ for fitting in with Die Schwarzgelben.
Costa signed a new deal with Atletico Madrid in the summer, having reportedly turned down advances from Liverpool.
