David Villa and Adrian Lopez may form Atletico Madrid’s attack against Austria Vienna, with Diego Costa only on the bench.
The Brazilian picked up a knock to his ankle at the weekend and, whilst included in the party travelling out to Vienna for Tuesday’s Champions League tie with Austria Vienna, was confirmed by Diego Simeone as struggling to make the starting XI.
Still struggling in Atleti’s evening training session ahead of the game, it is believed that Costa will settle for a place on the bench, with Villa and Adrian as the starting front-line.
Meanwhile, Diego Godin is also suspected as still struggling with discomfort, so Toby Alderweireld will likely start a second consecutive game for Los Colchoneros.
