Carlo Ancelotti has told Sky Sports that his job at Real Madrid could be the last of his football career.
The 54-year-old was asked whether he might make an emotional return to Roma, where he spent eight years as a player between 1979 and 1987, or even Coach the Italian national team.
“It’s not the first time I’ve been asked these questions. I can only say that after [my time at] Real Madrid I will think about it, but after this experience I may choose to retire,” revealed Ancelotti, who was invited to comment on Roma’s great start to the 2013-14 campaign.
“I like how they have started the season and I’m happy for the Coach [Rudi Garcia], who I know from my time at Paris Saint-Germain.
“Above all I’m happy for the city. If Milan don’t win then I hope Roma do,” he replied.
