Iker Casillas has posted a brief message online today thanking Real Madrid fans for their support in recent days.
The 32-year-old has been the subject of continued discussion this week and even transfer links out of Madrid, having been benched for Carlo Ancelotti’s first official match in charge.
“I want to thank these great fans for always being there and for showing their support during this time,” Casillas wrote, before turning his attention to tonight’s Trofeo Bernabeu match with Al-Sadd.
“We go on to the field for tonight’s game with photos of our fans on our shirts. Now, more than ever, we are together.”
