Alberto Bueno is delighted for Rayo Vallecano’s start to the season and hopes that it is a mark of where they can go in 2013-14.
The Madrid outfit comfortably defeated newly promoted Elche on Monday evening, with new arrival Bueno netting twice.
“Hopefully this game with mark the dynamic of our season – we cannot stop to think that we have won 3-0 and that everything is done,” commented the summer arrival from Real Valladolid.
“Working with Paco Jemez is wonderful, he pushes us a lot and is intense, but we are like sponges.
“We are an aggressive team and are trying to create a style of play and for that we have to run and work hard.
“Have we put aside the Elche result? They are a great team, but the difficulty in moving from the Segunda to the Primera at first is the pace.
“We must focus now on ourselves, we are humble and yet we have a great desire to do things well.”
Rayo face a tough trip across town this weekend to play Atletico Madrid.
“We are neither superior nor inferior to anyone. We are very excited to go to the Calderon to have fun, if we can do things correctly.”
