Rayo Vallecano have reported that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) consider their appeal for a UEFA licence out of their jurisdiction.
The Madrid minnows have been appealing through various means the Spanish Football Federation’s decision not to award the club a UEFA licence for 2013-14 due to the club’s debt and administration status.
On from finishing last season in a Europa League qualification spot, Rayo yesterday had their appeal to overturn the decision heard by CAS.
However, the club report on their website today that the Court has since informed them that the case is considered outside of their jurisdiction.
“The club will keep track of the appeal filed with the judge overseeing the administration of our organisation, announcing, therefore, to exhaust all options within the judicial field,” conclude Los Franjirrojos in their statement.
