Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made clear his plans to disrupt Barcelona should they try and sign Thiago Silva.
The Brazilian centre-back has been increasingly linked with a move to the Catalans, but with the player, his agent and PSG indicating that a sale is not preferred.
Following on from yesterday warning Barca that he reciprocates interest in some of their players, the French side’s President has made clear further his intentions to counteract a move for Silva.
“If Barca pays the buyout clause for Thiago, I will pay the clause for Lionel Messi,” Al-Khelaifi told Actusports.fr today.
Messi’s clause at Barcelona is set at €250m.
