PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has countered Barcelona’s interest in Thiago Silva by saying his club are looking at some of the Catalans’ players.
Barca have been increasingly linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazilian international centre-back this summer.
Despite the player and his agent this week denying the latest links, Barca President Sandro Rosell admitted that his team are interested in recruiting Silva, albeit in facing up to the prospect that PSG do not want to sell.
To counter this interest, Al-Khelaifi has warned Barca to keep an eye on their own players this summer.
“Thiago Silva will be with us for the Trophee des Champions match against Bordeaux to be played on August 3,” assured Al-Khelaifi to reporters today.
“He will definitely stay with us. We, on the other hand, are also following some of Barcelona’s players.
“Our signings have not stopped for this summer. We will get another player.”
