Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to follow Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain.
A report in AS today claims the Swede is upset the French outfit have signed Edinson Cavani for €64m for Napoli, given that the Uruguayan plays in the same position as Ibrahimovic.
It also maintains Ibra is eager to get his hands on a Champions League winners’ medal, a competition he has never won, and feels he has a better chance of doing that by linking up again with Ancelotti.
There had been speculation Zlatan was unhappy when the Italian left PSG, and the report maintains that Ancelotti has personally asked Real Madrid President Florentino Perez to bring Ibrahimovic in.
It is also understood the player is willing to take a pay cut on his €14m-a-year salary in order to secure a move to the Spanish capital.
PSG paid €21m for Ibrahimovic just 12 months ago, yet Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentis is recently alleged to have said he was led to believe Cavani and Ibrahimovic will not play together this coming season.
