Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers believes that Luis Suarez will stay at Liverpool this summer.
The Uruguay international has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield, with Real Madrid becoming increasing favourites for his signature.
But the Northern Irish tactician has insisted that the goalscorer will still be with the Reds in time for the new campaign.
“I have talked to Luis,” he told reporters. “Over the course of the last few months there has been a lot of speculation.
“But the facts remain the same – we value his presence. He is an incredible player. A magician on the football field.
“We have been in contact every day whether through calls or messages.
“He has three years left on his contract and we do not want to sell.”
