Bojan Jokic and Aleksandar Pantic have both spoken today of the ‘step up’ that joining Villarreal is to them.
Jokic, who signed from Chievo on a free transfer and Pantic, who joined from Red Star Belgrade for an undisclosed fee, were presented to the media in a joint Press conference today.
“It is an honour for me to be at Villarreal,” commented Jokic, pictured above on Villarreal's official website alongside Pantic and also another new signing Tomas Pina.
“Coming here marks a huge step up in my career. We have a good team and a great Coach, making sure that we will have a great season.
“I hope to do well and see that Villarreal are where they belong, which is at least in the Europa League positions.
“I do not like talking about myself. Fans will see how I am and appreciate me. The only thing I can promise is daily work, both in training and in games. Thereafter I can be judged.”
Versatile Serbian defender Pantic reiterated Jokic’s message: “It’s a pleasure to be at this club. To be here is two or three steps up in my career.
“I can play centre-back or right-back, and I have even played at left-back. I do not mind where I will play.”
