Reports in France believe that Paris Saint-Germain will wrap up a deal for Real Madrid target Edinson Cavani in a matter of hours.
The Uruguayan had been linked this summer with a possible move from Napoli to one of Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City.
However, PSG look to have beaten them all with late interest, with sporting director Leonardo’s meeting with the player’s agent last week reportedly backed up by the club’s preparedness to pay Cavani’s €63m buyout clause.
L’Equipe believe that a deal to sign the player to a five-year, €10m-a-season contract will be reached and announced in ‘a matter of hours’.
