New Manchester United boss David Moyes has failed to rule out the possibility of the Premier League champions bidding for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese attacker has been heavily linked with a move back to Old Trafford, depite the record-breaker insisting he is 'happy at Real Madrid'.
And the Scotsman has claimed that his sid e will always be 'interested in the best players', whilst also commenting on the future of Wayne Rooney – who has been linked with both Los Blancos and Barcelona.
“I won't talk directly about Cristiano,” he told a Press conference. “But this club is always interested in the best players.
“Rooney is not for sale. He's a Manchester United player and will remain so.
“He has a glint in his eye. He looks happy, he looks like he'll knuckle down and get himself right.
“I can categorically say that Wayne Rooney has trained fantastically well and won't be sold.”
