Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly entered the race to sign Edinson Cavani this summer, as they meet with the player’s agent.
The 26-year-old has been increasingly linked with a move away from Napoli this summer, despite the Italians pushing for his €63m buyout clause to be met.
Real Madrid are thought to be one of a number of sides interested and, despite reports in Spain that Chelsea are leading the way with a provisional agreement with the player believed in place, PSG are named in France as also in contention.
Specifically, Le Parisien suggest that the capital club’s sporting director Leonardo watched Cavani during the Confederations Cup and, upon returning to France, met with the Uruguayan’s agent Pierpaolo Triulzi to discuss possible terms.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail follow Spain’s line of thinking and suggest that Cavani’s representatives are scheduled to meet with Chelsea shortly to thrash out details of their apparent provisional agreement.
