Carlo Ancelotti would welcome the arrival of Wayne Rooney at Real Madrid, reports in the English Press have suggested.
The Italian Coach is expected to be appointed as the new man in charge at Santiago Bernabeu within the next few weeks, and the Daily Mail believe that the former Chelsea boss would like the Manchester United striker as one of his first signings.
Rooney's future at Old Trafford looks to be in doubt after he submitted a transfer request at the end of last season.
Los Blancos would ideally like to bring in Gareth Bale or Luis Suarez to bolster their front line, but the tabloid has insisted that Ancelotti would not baulk at the idea of signing the 27-year-old.
The England international could be available for around €35m.
