Granada central defender Inigo Lopez is on the verge of a move to Polish outfit Legia Warsaw, reports AS.
The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of June and has not been offered a new deal at Los Carmenes so is keen to try his luck abroad, with the Poles ready to grant him his wish.
Lopez [pictured, left] joined Granada from Alcorcon in June 2010 when the Andalusians were languishing in Segunda B, achieving a second consecutive promotion with El Grana to take the team into La Primera.
Lopez’s brother Jorge has already departed La Liga for pastures new, having left Real Zaragoza in July 2011 after failing to agree a new contract and signing for OFI Crete in Greece.
However, financial problems meant that after becoming a free agent in January this year he moved to Belgium and joined several compatriots, including former Real Betis boss Victor Fernandez, at K.A.A. Gent.
