Miroslav Djukic has commented on the match fixing allegations in Spain and suggested that anything other than aiming for a win ‘is a crime’.
Levante’s players are under investigation for an allegation of having fixed their Week 31 home defeat to Deportivo, which has prompted widespread talk through the League on the subject of match fixing.
“It’s a very unpleasant thing that should be investigated thoroughly. The question remains, is it clear who is involved and who has done nothing? My duty is to win every game, anything else is a crime,” commented Djukic before his side’s home clash with Depor on Saturday.
“They need to win, so do we. We are playing at home and we expect a tough match, very crowded. We have four finals and we want to resolve things in the first and remain calm.
“Deportivo have done good things in recent games. They are confident, have a lot of pace up front and play through the lines with Valeron.
“Luck is not the reason for their four wins and three draws of late.”
