Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who has announced his retirement today.
Ferguson coached the Real Madrid star from 2003 to 2009 at Old Trafford, during which time United picked up three Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a Champions League trophy and the FIFA Club World Cup.
In reacting to the news that the 71-year-old is standing down as the Red Devils’ manager at the end of the season, Ronaldo took to Twitter to briefly pay tribute.
“Thanks for everything, Boss,” posted the Portuguese, alongside a picture of himself next to Fergie from their time at Old Trafford together.
