Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to turn down offers to even double their money on goalkeeper Diego Lopez this summer.
Los Blancos’ current No 1, who is keeping Iker Casillas out of the team, has reportedly attracted the attention of ‘several European clubs’ for his performances in the six months since returning the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Corriere dello Sport suggest that Milan, with interest as a possible replacement for Christian Abbiati, are ready to come in with a €7m offer for the 31-year-old, double Madrid’s fee paid to Sevilla in the last transfer window.
However, beyond the Rossoneri’s confirmation that they will offer Abbiati a new deal beyond this summer, it is understood that Los Blancos do not want to sell Lopez.
The capital club are understood to see Lopez as competitive against Casillas heading into next season and, in light of performances this term, see him as ‘untransferable’.
