Reports in France have it that Carlo Ancelotti has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave in the summer as he is ‘close to a deal with Real Madrid’.
Speculation has been through the season that the French outfit may dispense with the Italian tactician in the summer, in favour of a move for Arsene Wenger or Madrid’s Jose Mourinho.
Ancelotti, who has subsequently been rumoured in Spain as a potential replacement for Mourinho, has reportedly informed PSG this week that he wants to leave at the end of the season.
Le Parisian are running the story and say that Ancelotti informed President Nasser Al-Khelaifi in a meeting on Wednesday and that his decision is in part because he is ‘close to an agreement with Madrid’.
Even so, Ancelotti is also said to still be a target for other clubs, with Manchester City and Arsenal both reported as monitoring the situation.
