Alejandro Gomez insists he is just concentrating on Catania amidst transfer links with Atletico Madrid.
The No 17 has caught the attention of numerous scouts across Europe after another impressive campaign for the Serie A side.
“I only know what I read from the newspapers and internet sites,” the 25-year-old told the Corriere dello Sport.
“It is normal that a youngster like myself wants to grow, but it is also normal for me to consider Catania as my second home.
“A move to Spain? It’s a tempting championship because I think it suits my characteristics, but there is nothing.
“I have a good relationship with Atletico boss Diego Simeone because he coached me in Argentina and in Catania.
“He’s also a very good friend of my agent Leo Rodriguez given that they were international teammates.”
Gomez, signed in 2010 from San Lorenzo, has scored seven goals in 31 League games this term.
