Jakub Blaszczykowski has reflected on Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League run so far and believes in the fans’ support against Real Madrid.
Supporters have had it confirmed today that star midfielder Mario Gotze will be sold to Bayern Munich in the summer for €37m.
Even so, his midfield teammate does not think it will detract from the team’s semi-final first leg at home to Madrid this Wednesday.
“What we have achieved so far has been outstanding. We are undefeated in the Champions League and hope to maintain that run until the end,” enthused Blaszczykowski to reporters today.
“We played Madrid in the group stage and won 2-1. That was a great game. Then we went to Madrid and put in one of our greatest performances.
“I have been here for six years and I know our supporters will be fully behind us tomorrow, because here in Dortmund, BVB is more important than anything else.”
