Valencia are reportedly trying to convince Diego Alves to accept a move to Paris Saint-Germain, as part of a deal to bring Kevin Gameiro the other way.
Sporting director Braulio Vazquez is seen as a keen and long term admirer of 25-year-old Gameiro and Superdeporte report that the striker is again being targeted for this summer.
This is understood to be Los Che’s back-up plan to stalled talks with Celta Vigo over Iago Aspas. Whilst Valencia are reported as having agreed a five-year contract with the striker, Celta will not budge from the €10m buyout clause as an asking price.
So, Los Che are looking at a way to bring in €7m-rated Gameiro for no cost at all, as an alternative, with goalkeeper Alves sent the other way in a straight swap.
