Barcelona are reported in Italy today as having had a huge offer for Roma’s rising centre-back Marcos Marquinhos turned down
The 18-year-old moved to the Italian capital last summer from Corinthians, has immediately settled into Serie A and his form has reportedly attracted a number of interested parties.
The player himself indicated only yesterday of his determination to stay with Roma and Il Corriere dello Sport have it that Barcelona have already had a €25m offer turned down by the Giallorossi.
The Catalans are seen as in the market for a centre-back for next season and were reported recently as sending scouts to Rome to catch Marquinhos in action.
The youngster cost Roma €4.5m last summer.
