Sevilla have turned down a €14m bid from Premier League club Everton for striker Alvaro Negredo.
El Desmarque are claiming that the Rojiblancos, who continue with oft-reported financial problems, have balked at the offer as they do not have a replacement for the 27-year-old.
The player's agent, Juanma Lopez, has also revealed that the move looks unlikely, telling the Liverpool Echo that the deal is 'impossible' because David Moyes' men left it too late.
Negredo has been linked with a host of English clubs in the past, including Tottenham and Chelsea.
