Iago Aspas has ruled out the possibility of leaving Celta Vigo during the January transfer window.
The No 10 has caught the attention of a number of clubs this season with his early form for the Galician outfit, with Reading, Chelsea, Dynamo Kiev and Valencia all said to be monitoring his situation.
Los Che were reported as in talks with his agent about a possible move either in January or the summer, whilst Reading have also been suggested as trying to catch the player this month.
However, the 25-year-old has looked to somewhat add clarification to the situation.
“I have already said that what I would begin I would end. Whatever is to come for me, comes at the end of the season,” the forward told reporters this week.
“Yes there have been offers, but they must reach an agreement with the club and with me and that did not happen. I do not know the law, I know football.
“If I had reached an agreement with Valencia then there might have been problems for both Valencia and I…”
There is confusion surrounding who actually represents the player.
“My brother Jonathan is representing me, he is the one that will help me in my career, he knows what is best for me.
“[Celta Coach] Paco Herrera has been helpful, he looks to protect the players and help us focus on the games and I have not lost that, so I want to play.”
