Sevilla are believed in the market for another striker and have identified Manchester City’s young forward John Guidetti.
It is reported today that sporting director Monchi is keen to try and negotiate a loan deal with the English champions to take the 20-year-old Swedish striker on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Guidetti spent last season out on loan at Feyenoord, where he netted 20 goals in just 23 appearances, before suffering with a rare nerve-based virus in his leg.
That injury cut short his season in April and ruled him out of Euro 2012 contention. This term back at City, the player has since recovered but has not had a look-in at first-team football.
Alongside Sevilla are a number of clubs understood to be sniffing around a potential loan deal for the promising striker, including Malaga, Roma, Palermo and Queens Park Rangers.
