Atletico Madrid are reported as only just beginning negotiations with Rayo Vallecano for Brazilian forward Leo Baptistao.
La Cadena Cope yesterday ran the line that the Madrid teams had agreed a €6m fee for the 20-year-old to switch to the Vicente Calderon at the end of the season, with the player accepting terms on a four-year contract too.
However, Marca believe that this is premature, reporting instead that Atleti officials have confirmed with them that they have yet to close on a deal, but that they are in initial talks with the Franjirrojos.
Baptistao has caught the eye so far this season for Rayo and has been thought on the verge of a switch to Atletico since the start of last month. The youngster has a buyout clause of €8m.
