Real Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Adan has echoed Aitor Karanka's comments that the Copa del Rey is not to be taken for granted.
The capital club's assistant had claimed this morning that they would take the last 16 tie with Celta Vigo tomorrow entirely seriously.
And the 25-year-old shot-stopper has repeated those claims, calling for Los Blancos to try and go all the way in the competition.
“All the players here think winning the Copa del Rey every season is a good thing,” he told AS.
“It is a special tournament and one that the fans appreciate. It is important to get a good result and, one a personal note, to get a clean sheet.
“Going into the second leg with a healthy advantage would also be good.”
The Spain Under-21 international also commented on Coach Jose Mourinho and his lack of game-time at the club.
“The three seasons I have been with Mourinho, he has always shown great trust in me.
“Whenever he has the opportunity, for example in the Copa del Rey, he is giving me minutes and for that I'm highly appreciative.
“I think any goalkeeper who is behind Iker Casillas would be pleased for the amount of times I've played.”
