Damia Abella admits that Osasuna’s situation is looking better this week, but that they cannot afford to relax.
Los Rojillos 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano last Saturday afternoon saw them pull out of the relegation zone and up into 16th place.
“It looks quite a bit better, after the first days spent out of the dropzone,” commented the versatile Damia to reporters.
“We are a little relieved, but we cannot relax. Today the situation is improved, but we have to work hard to avoid falling back into the same situation.
“It has taken a lot to overcome a huge gap. We must continue along this line in order to avoid suffering again.”
Saturday evening sees the team host Valencia, who have just hired Ernesto Valverde as their new Coach.
“They are one of the teams that I like. I am surprised that they are in this current situation, whilst I do not know why they are.
“Primarily, it may prove to be a motivation for them to have the coaching change.”
