Real Sociedad defender Alberto de la Bella admits that the clubs fans are entitled to expect more than they have produced this season.
The Basque outfit recorded a 2-1 victory at Malaga on Saturday, their first away success since January, but are still only 13th in the standings after a somewhat shaky start.
“In the end, you are where you deserve to be in the table,” De la Bella told the club's TV channel. “We will go step by step, thinking of Rayo Vallecano next weekend, then we'll see, although it is true that the fans could ask for more as we are a better team than we have showed this season.
“The team needed a game like this, to break the dynamic. We went there with many injuries but started well and were lucky to score quickly. We deserved the win.
“I don't think it was the best game we've played away from home, but it's the details that count, and we conceded only one goal, not two, like we have been doing lately. We now have two home games we can take six points from, but it won't be easy.”
The leftback also reflected on his own form and his inclusion in the first XI at Jose Angel's expense.
“I am very happy and the competition with Jose Angel is doing me good. I am more focused and feel great. If you have the confidence of the Coach you do much better physically.”
