Midfielder Kaka is set to return to Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up for the Copa del Rey first-leg game with Alcoyano on Wednesday.
The Brazilian played the opening 45 minutes of the La Liga game with Celta Vigo but since then has been overlooked for the Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund and the League fixture with Real Mallorca last weekend.
However, Mourinho is set to rest a number of key men for the game against the Valencian outfit and will include several fringe players alongside some reserve team members.
Antonio Adan is favourite to take over from Iker Casillas in goal, while Nacho looks likely to occupy the problematic left-back role that has been occupied in recent games by Michael Essien.
Alvaro Morata comes in for Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo Carvalho could also get an outing next to Raphael Varane in central defence, with Raul Albiol switching to right-back.
