Benfica boss Jorge Jesus said Barcelona took the few chances they had in the 2-0 Champions League win on Tuesday.
Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fabregas proved enough for the Catalans to emerge with all three points and Jesus praised the efficiency of Tito Vilanova’s side.
“It is not that we lacked anything but in my opinion we were up against the best team in the world that in any game dominates at least 70 per cent of the possession,” he told a Press conference.
“However, my players were excellent in the first half and did not deserve to be going in at the break losing. We had nine shots and a great opportunity for Lima.
“Barcelona are not always so efficient but today they took the few chances they had and that made the difference.
“After they went 2-0 up they grew stronger, defended well and made it very difficult.”
