Reading eye Russian Real kid

Real Madrid youngster Denis Cheryshev is on the verge of a loan-move to Premier League side Reading, according to reports in the English media.

The 21-year-old Castilla striker sparked the interest of the Royals' over the summer whilst playing against Barcelona B, with boss Brian McDermott keen to add another striker to his newly-promoted squad.

“Our scouts watched Cheryshev for Castilla against Barcelona B,” Reading owner Anton Zingarevich told the Daily Mail. “I'm not guaranteeing that he will come to Reading, but it's possible. And Denis knows about it.”

The Russian forward joined Los Blancos as an 11-year-old, and has gone on to make 80 appearances for the B side.

The Santiago Bernabeu club have already rejected offers from his home country over pre-season, with Spartak Moscow reportedly interested in his services.
