Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure believes his side lacked concentration towards the end of the 3-2 defeat at Real Madrid.
The Blues were leading 2-1 with five minutes remaining, courtesy of goals from Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov, only to see Karim Benzema equalise and Cristiano Ronaldo snatch a last-gasp winner.
Ivory Coast international Toure, however, felt it was due to a lapse of awareness on the part of Roberto Mancini’s men.
“We know it is not easy to win in Madrid and we lacked concentration in the final 10 minutes. We also know City are improving and we have to learn from it,” the former Barcelona player told assembled reporters.
“We must continue working. It’s always better to win and it was a shame, but we have the next game and need to win it because the aim is to qualify for the next round.”
