Spain Under 21 coach Julen Lopetegui has called for the team to 'prove a point' as they face Switzerland and Croatia in their next two matches.
The nation's youngsters are currently top of their qualification group for the 2013 European Championships in Israel, having won the 2011 tournament in Denmark.
La Roja will travel to Sion on September 6 as they play Pierluigi Tami's Swiss side, before hosting Croatia in Alicante four days later. And Lopetegui has asked for his side to win both games, and go the whole qualification campaign unbeaten.
“I hope we play well and prove that we deserve to be champions,” he told Mundo Deportivo. “It will be tough, but we need to get good early momentum and work hard as a team.
“We have been very good so far, excellent in fact. But we know these two games will be played against good opponents.
“Switzerland have a chance of qualifying, so we are expecting a tough encounter. It is virtually a play-off to see who finishes top of the group. Croatia also won't be easy, but fans in every city have been supportive and I have no doubt that people in Alicante will come out to support us.”
