Cerezo: Atletico EL group ‘tough’

Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo has warned of the dangers lying in wait for his club in Europa League Group B.

Defending champions Atleti have been drawn against Israeli side Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Viktoria Plzen of the Czech Republic and Portuguese outfit Academica de Coimbra.

“It's a tough one. These are strong teams,” the patron told AS. “But we will come out and fight to be the champion.”

As a reward for their Europa League triumph last season, Los Colchoneros will face Chelsea tonight in the European Super Cup.

“It is for the champion of champions, and is obviously a high level competition,” said an excited Cerezo. “The team are calm, but I've seen that Radamel Falcao is eager.”

The Colombian striker, who was previously linked with Chelsea, has been in deadly form of late, hitting a hat trick against Athletic Bilbao on Monday.
