UEFA’s Best Player in Europe Andrea Iniesta says it is an honour to have been in contention alongside ‘the two giants of football’ Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I’m happy, very happy to win this trophy,” he enthused. “Congratulations to Leo and Cristiano also. It is a real privilege to be on the podium with them. They are the two giants of football.
“I want to share it with Leo, who is my teammate, and with the rest of my team, with the Spanish national team and I thank them, because without them I would not have been able to win.”
