The agent of Giovani dos Santos claims the player is being held hostage by Tottenham, with a queue of Spanish clubs awaiting his release.
Vicente Montes, the Mexican international’s representative, has condemned the English outfit and their Chairman Daniel Levy for not allowing Dos Santos a move to La Liga.
“Many teams are interested in Giovani, such as Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Espanyol, Granada and Malaga in Spain,” Montes asserted in an interview with Calciomercato.it.
“We are yet to receive a concrete offer, but the Spurs Chairman is a tough obstacle to overcome, as confirmed by the Luka Modric saga.
“The preference would be a move to either Spain or Italy. Giovani has an EU passport and that could make it easier for him to move to Spain…”
The former Barcelona forward impressed during the recent Olympic Games, in which Mexico defeated favourites Brazil in the final to conquer gold.
