Barcelona are hoping to avoid seeing a two-match touchline ban handed to their Coach Tito Vilanova this week.
Vilanova was sent from the technical area during the second half of the Catalans’ eventual 2-1 win at Osasuna, for what he claimed post-match was a misinterpreted conversation with the linesman.
The referee’s note have the Coach as being sent off for ‘angrily protesting a decision in the game, having already been warned by the linesman’.
Vilanova could face a two-game suspension from the bench, so as confirmed by the club’s official website, an appeal on the dismissal will be launched. They have until 2pm local time Tuesday to present their argument to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
