Atletico Madrid have been dealt a blow with the news that young full-back Kader Ouelasti has suffered a broken collarbone in a training ground clash.
The 20-year-old made his debut for Diego Simeone’s senior side last weekend at Levante and, alongside another promising youth in Oliver Torres, was anticipated to be included in the squad for this Monday’s home match with Athletic Bilbao.
However, the player is facing an uncertain wait as doctors assess the extent of his injury and whether or not he will require surgery.
The Frenchman broke his right collarbone during Atletico’s training session on Saturday morning when colliding with teammate Cebolla Rodriguez in challenging for a cross.
