Miroslav Djukic is determined that Real Valladolid continue the good work from the opening weekend when welcoming Levante in Week 2.
The Serbian saw his side record an opening day win away to Real Zaragoza, a result that has him optimistic looking ahead.
“I was delighted by the Zaragoza game because we won and we played well. Of course, we still have much room for improvement and a long way to go. We have tried the Primera Division and we have enjoyed it.
“It is only the first game, but whilst it took some work-rate, it is still fresh in the mind and is a reminder of our philosophy and of how we should be playing.”
However, he is aware of the task this weekend in welcoming Europa League competitors Levante to the Jose Zorrilla.
“They are a team in Europe and that says a lot. They are an organised unit that defends well and all together.
“They are a team with resources, with fast and high-quality players, so we will need a lot of patience to play this game, because it will be hard and long.
“We cannot despair at any time and at all times must be focused on the game.”
The Coach also reflected on possible ins and outs before the shut of the transfer window.
“We know we need to expand the team and I am sure that the reinforcements will arrive. The club is working to bring in those players.
“Anyway, I am happy with those I already have.”
